PAUL, MN -  Alan Hairsine was awarded 1st Place for his photograph "Bee Blossom" at this year's Minnesota State Fair.  He also received 2nd Place and Honorable Mention in the overall class Sweepstakes competition. July 2009 OWATONNA, MN -  Alan Hairsine was awarded Second Place at the Owatonna Festival of the Arts held in downtown Owatonna.  Hairsine, a fine art photographer residing near Gaylord, MN, received the award on Saturday at the two day event.  In addition to the top three awards, four merit awards were also given at the 17th annual juried fine art festival.  Nearly sixty artists participated in this year's event. September 2008 WILLMAR, MN -  Photographer Alan Hairsine has been awarded "Best Overall Body of Work" at the 2008 Celebrate Art! Celebrate Coffee! art festival in Willmar.  Hairsine received the award Saturday afternoon.  The annual festival held in downtown Willmar is put on by the Willmar Area Arts Council and is now celebrating its 11th year.
