Alan Hairsine of rural Gaylord, MN is a self-taught photographer who has been taking photographs most of his life.
After a rewarding career in the food industry working in research and development for nearly 20 years, Hairsine established
his small business, Sine Scape Studio, in 2006 to focus on his photography. He now exhibits and sells his artwork at
numerous juried fine art events throughout the state and region. His images range from notable American
landscapes and European scenes, to rustic prairie visions and abstracts. He works primarily in digital mediums.
Much of his artistic inspiration comes from his life experience and travels. "I grew up in the rolling farm country
of southeastern Minnesota, then lived in Minneapolis and Chicago for several years before moving to the prairie. The
diversity of my background has helped me see things with a variety of perspectives." His work has earned him several
local awards.
